This morning I woke up early to volunteer in the garden at a local synagogue. The organizers had presented at a meeting of mine at work and added me to the email list announcing when they need help. A lot of harvesting and preparation for the winter (planting cover crops and such). It was a crisp morning, but beautiful. Lots of fun! In exchange for my work I brought home carrots, celery, green beans and corn. I husked and cooked the corn as soon as I got home - meaning it was less than an hour from harvest to my mouth. So delicious!!!
